Stockholm Fintech Hub and No18 partner up to provide Sweden’s Financial Technology (Fintech) startups with a tailored collaborative and creative workspace.
Stockholm Fintech Hub (SFH), launched in late 2016, provides a physical and digital space to enable Swedish Fintech startups to thrive and grow. SFH have teamed up with No18, who run workspace, lounge and event locales at No18 Stureplan and No18 Grand Central. SFH will be located within No18’s premises at Stockholm Central Station.
“Over the last six months, we have looked at many potential offices in Stockholm. When we walked into No 18, we knew we had found something special. We met Michel and his team and had an immediate meeting of minds.” explains SFH’s CEO, Matthew Argent. “We chose No18 as a partner because they can offer our members, not only a stunning location, but an inspiring and friendly atmosphere and service.”
“We saw immediately that we could help Stockholm Fintech Hub grow and allow them to concentrate on helping their members, while leaving us to manage their space, which is what we do the best,” says entrepreneur and founder of No18, Michel Gordin.
Together SFH and No18 invite the Swedish Fintech community to partake in premium co-working spaces, lounges, and event locales.
“We have had a huge response following our launch,” says Matthew Argent, “and have already laid much of the foundation for collaboration in the Fintech community. Now we can open our doors and invite everyone into our physical space.”
No18 is a combination of flexible workplace for teams of any size and a meeting place for creative people. A welcoming and inspiring mix of offices, club and conference center with a personal feel and touch. Social interaction and professional workplace in unique premises in central Stockholm. No18 have two locations, No18 Stureplan – a first class location in the heart of Stockholm and No18 Grand Central at Stockholm Central Station, the most central meeting place in Scandinavia.
About Stockholm Fintech Hub
Sweden's independent physical space for the financial technology ecosystem
Stockholm Fintech Hub is a dedicated physical space for communication, collaboration, and cooperation that is tailored to the specific needs of Fintech companies. The entire community including startups, established financial institutions, regulators, educators, tech providers, investors and professional services companies are all core to our community. The hub is the center of gravity for collaboration within the Fintech sector in Sweden and globally, with links to hubs around the world.
Fintech startups have different needs to other types of startup company
Whether dealing with financial flows or data flows, financial companies are among the most regulated companies on the planet. So Fintech startups need more specialised legal advice and experience, while the ramp-up period for a Fintech can be longer than for other types of startups.
Communication, collaboration and cooperation make the ecosystem stronger
Stockholm Fintech Hub supports each stage of a startup from idea validation through to helping funded companies expand internationally. We have know-how, networking, infrastructure and education all under one roof.
